Introduced in December, 2005, the current version of LemmeFindSM
provides for a simple and regular, no-frills web meta search service.
While this functionality, in our opinion, is adequate for most
day-to-day web surfers-searchers, we have always recognized the
need for more complex search functionality, typically of use to
advanced users, academicians and researchers,
librarians and
others.
With this in mind, we've been planning for and developing many
enhancements to LemmeFindSM
meta
search technology, to be rolled out - probably at different points
in time - over the next few months.
Here are some of
the new features scheduled for being introduced:
Regular Search
Options:
-
To select the
number of Results Displayed per Page
(10, 15, 25 etc.)
-
To search for
different types of content
(Web pages, MP3, Images etc.)
Advanced Search
Options:
-
To search using
Boolean operators
-
To display the
source engine - or engines - along with each result
-
To search for
content types not covered in Regular Search
(PDF, Word - .doc, PowerPoint - .ppt etc.)
-
To display
thumbnail images of the sites listed in the results
(This feature is coming up by May 11, 2006.)
-
... and more
to come
